Cirque Du Soleil: giant paw patrol

At about 30 feet high, this giant Paw Patrol display was created for Cirque Du Soleil. It was displayed in front of the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale and at the Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville.

It's always challenging to create realistic 3D versions of animated characters, but our design team made a lovable inflatable that the kids were super excited about.

This case study shows the balance between art and engineering that goes into larger inflatable projects: there's a surprising amount of math that goes into it! We had to be certain that Marshall, the firefighting dog, would stay fully inflated even with his massive size.

It was important to use that he looked accurate. We didn't want to just print his face on a giant ball: we had to create a lot of unique shapes to build the perfect imitation.
